Re∼collection
Ever since our journey in lighting design started, we began experimenting with repurposed materials and components. The main focus has been on diverting objects of their main function and redefining them in a new context which incorporates light. Re∼collection is a selection of one-off collectibles which represents this material exploration.
One-off table lamp, constructed from an upcycled industrial component. The component was salvaged from an old shoe-making machine and has been re-worked in order to serve as a mesmerizing filter to the linear light just behind it.
A unique table lamp constructed from a salvaged industrial component and re-purposed glass jar in which a lighting fixture is attached. Three different materials are combined; glass, wood, and metal.
In 2015, Studio Lampent was commissioned by Recreate Design Company to design custom pendant lights for a staff room in University of Gothenburg. The concept of the interior design project was to reuse and re-purpose old parts. The result was 5 unique 2D lamps made from reclaimed wood kitchen countertop.
